Apple Jumps 9 spots up to become 8th most valued brand across the globe

17 Jan

Apple was ranked the eighth most worthy brand of the world in the year 2011, with an estimated value of $33.49 billion, making it popular than Disney, Mercedes-Benz and Budweiser.

Bloomberg released the 2011 rank list as a part of interbrand’s Best Global Brands 2011 report. It was found that Apple increased its brand value enormously by 58% year over year, which helped it heave 9 places from the 17 spot to top ten in the year 2010. Apple’s growth was tremendous when compared to any of the top 100 companies. The next closest in terms of growth was Amazon, which grew its value by 32% in 2011 and gained 26th place in the list.

The Top slot was again taken by Coca-Cola, followed by IBM, Microsoft, Google, GE, McDonalds and Intel. Disney and HP were ranked 9th and 10th respectively.

But, we must say that Apple’s growth is remarkable and it has made its stand and gained a brand name over the last couple of years. Also the products launched by Apple have continued to grow in popularity. We wish Apple gain the “Numero Uno” position in the future.
