As we all know, the tablet war is on among big-wigs such as Apple, Microsoft and many others, the battle is getting intense day by day. Since the launch of iPad in 2010, many encounters are taking place in the consumer world, with Apple defeating its opponents over and over again.

But this year, we shall see this fight move onto the corporate battlefield, where the effect is going to be far less certain, even though the risk is just as high.

Apple is topping the charts with the sales after the launch of iPhone and iPad and its business certainly seem to be growing. According to a new study conducting by Forrester Research, Apple is likely to spend $16 billion on iPad’s and $12 billion on Macs in 2013, comparing to $6 billion spent on each last year.

Gina Luk, senior analyst at analysts Strategy Analytics has to say, that more than 55% of the tablets are bought by consumers, while sales to business account for only about 10% of tablets sold. But the actual revelation is that nearly 35% to 40% of tablets are being sold to traders for them to use at work.

Luk also expects that tablet deployment and adoption will gain thrust in 2012, with the proportion of tablets being bought by businesses growing to around 18% to 20% by 2015, as the number of business applications available on the tablet increases.

Till today experts have analyzed that vast majority of the tablets being used in businesses are iPads, Apple has had no real contest in the business, in spite of the huge number of Android tablets and the limited number of Windows 7 tablets available in the market.

Nothing is predictable at this stage as the real combat might spur up soon after Microsoft release its tablet-friendly Windows 8 later this year.
